How to find us

The house is easily accessed by road, but once off the main road, leads on to a private track.

We are not far from the A66, which stretches accross the country from Yorkshire in the East, right through our beautiful Lake District National Park before continuing on to the West coast. If travelling from Scotland or the North West of England, we are also not far from the M6 junction 40 at Penrith.

From M6 junction 40 Take the road marked Keswick A66. Follow the A66 for approximately 14 miles. You will approach Threlkeld village on the right hand side of the A66. Please do not take the first turn off, but take the second into the village. You will immediately go up a small hill. At the top, on the left, you will come to a junction sign posted ‘Wescoe and Derwent Folds’. Take this sharp turn to the left heading towards Wescoe. You will go past The Riddings, Riddings Barn and The Ings. After approximately 3/4 mile, you will see The Hoggest on the left. Turn in by the letterbox and signpost for ‘The Hoggest’. Go over the cattle grid, along the lane and you will come to the gate of the property. We have our own private parking area for up to six cars.
